Inspired By: Banksy
As much of the world continues to shelter in place, we are endlessly inspired by the artists who are taking to the streets to show support and spread love and light through these uncertain times.
Most recently, a new Banksy art piece installed at Southampton General Hospital in the south of England is taking the world by storm.
The artwork shows a young boy playing with his favorite new superhero doll - a nurse wearing a cape and face mask, and an apron with the Red Cross emblem (the only element of color in the picture). Alongside him sits a Spiderman and Batman action figures.
The artist left a note for hospital works, which read: “Thanks for all you’re doing. I hope this brightens up the place a bit, even if its only black and white.”
The painting will remain at Southampton General Hospital until fall when it will be auctioned to raise money for the NHS.
